It has brought so much clarity around my finances and it forces me to ask the hard question - "If I spend this money now, what am I giving up in the future?" If you're on a budgeting journey, I highly encourage you to implement the cash envelope method into your life. Begin with using a cash envelope for one or two areas in your budget that you tend to overspend in. Placing a hard limit on these categories will allow you to get that category under control as well as bring more financial awareness into your life.
